21st September 2022A strong immune system has never been a key focus for as many people at one time, as it has over the past few years. With the emergence of COVID-19 and its seemingly endless array of variants, it has highlighted the importance of not only vaccinations but also our responsibility to give our internal “department of defence”, our immune system, all the support it needs to fend off any opportunistic virus it may encounter.
One of the best ways to support your immune system is through a regular moderate exercise program. In addition, exercise assists with the management of other risk factors by preventing or reducing excess body fat as well as reducing the risk of chronic disease.
We have put together the following basic home-based exercise program that can be done in the comfort of your home with only a chair needed. These exercises can be done every day; however, the intensity will vary based on the individual’s capabilities and needs.
